Arizona Solar Tax Incentive

Sales Tax Exemption on Eligible Solar Equipment

The sales tax exemption is a 100% tax incentive given by the Department of Revenue for all solar equipment and installation done by select contractors. The exemption does not apply to solar batteries and related accessories not associated with the initial setup.

Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC)

The ITC is a federal tax incentive extended to encourage property owners to adopt renewable energy sources such as solar. The 30% tax credit applies to the overall cost of solar energy system installation carried out between 2022 and 2032. Whether carrying out a residential or a commercial solar energy system installation, you are eligible for the tax credit. Also, all installations financed through loans are entitled to ITC.
