Next Gen Solar is a residential solar company headquartered in Washington, DC. We help homeowners in the District and the adjacent Maryland counties assess their roofs, understand their options, and go solar with clear, written terms.
We serve Washington, DC, Montgomery County, and Prince George's County, Maryland.
Who we are
We focus on one thing on this site: residential solar for DC and nearby Maryland homes. For qualifying DC roofs we offer a $0 Power Purchase Agreement, where the system owner installs, owns, insures, and maintains the equipment and you receive the electricity it produces at no solar charge under the agreement. For Maryland homeowners we prepare cost-competitive proposals across purchase, loan, and PPA structures.
We do not use teaser pricing, and we do not promise savings figures we cannot support. Qualification is based on your roof, not your income, and full contract terms are disclosed in writing before you sign anything.
How we work
Roof-first assessment: condition, pitch, shading, and orientation are modeled for your specific address, not national averages.
Written proposals: system design, ownership structure, and every contract term are documented before you sign.
Permitting and interconnection handled: we prepare and file DC Department of Buildings (DOB) or Maryland county permit packages and manage the Pepco or BGE interconnection process.
Honest disclosures: under a $0 PPA, utility charges remain, the system owner keeps equipment and any incentives assigned under the contract for which it qualifies, and no specific savings amount is guaranteed.
